Counseling & Mental Health

The Counseling Department of Jewish Family Services (JFS) encompasses a broad-reaching, holistic approach to mental health with the goal of enhancing the well-being of individuals, families, and communities

Working together with each client, JFS has licensed psychologists, clinical social workers, and professional counselors who are trained and experienced in working with people of all ages, pre-school children through elder adults.

JFS counseling and mental health services strive to incorporate a holistic approach to wellness.  Our licensed mental health professionals insist on consultation with area psychiatrists and physicians as well as our clients' own doctors and various care providers.  In addition, we integrate the services of other JFS professionals such as the dietician, the chaplain, and our case managers.  By utilizing a holistic view of each person's problems and solutions, JFS is better able to treat the "whole person".
